Gold Coast MIUSA custom cyclocross frameset - 53cm - OX Platinum steel tubing
Boston is an under-mentioned city when it comes to absolutely incredible builders. Geekhouse, Royal H, IndyFab (ok, so they're not technically in Boston, but you get my drift)...all of them fantastic at what they do. Gold Coast was started in CA, but moved to Boston a couple of years ago and took up residence in Gekkhouse's shop. And the heat has been getting churned out ever since. This beautiful example is crafted from fillet-brazed True Temper OX Platinum steel tubing, with a fork custom made by Rick Hunter, an unbelievably respected builder in his own right. Hooded dropouts with replaceable hanger, lovely brass headbadge, star-shaped, custom-cut bottle cage bosses....oof! This baby will easily clear massssssive tires too - throw some 50mm knobbies on and laugh at how much clearance there still is. Truly a monstercross candidate, but with racing geometry in its blood. A high BB keeps you pedaling through corners, dual bottle cage bosses make sure you can keep ripping all day long. In the tradition of frames by builders like Chris Kelly, it opts for a 1" threadless steerer instead of the more ubiquitous 1 1/8". Not to worry, as the ride is reputedly phenomenal. Impeccable shape, with only minor scuffs from cable rub and use. Don't skip on this one!
