WILD vintage Moots custom steel roadie with mindmelting paint - 52.5cm - Tange Prestige tubing
Oh shiiiiiiiiiiiiiiit, how is this thing even possible?? This is easily the craziest frame I've ever had in my shop. EASILY. Let's start at the fact that it's a custom steel Moots from the early 90s (serial reads 54 91, so 1991 if my understanding is correct). That's already wild. Then let's get into the details: 1. The nuttiest lugs and gussets I've ever seen. Some sort of Dinosaur/sea creature/lizard theme going on, with handpainted eyes, snake tongues, etc. Whoa. 2. The single dopest shop sticker I've ever seen - Sore Saddle Cyclery in Steamboat Springs, where Moots is based. So rad. 3. Handpainted flames fading into torch-smoked hotness, fading into a mindshattering rainbow of colors. Dudes... 4. A segmented, lugged fork. The only other bikes I see these on are Weigles and Columbines, and they are SO BALLER.
So there we are. And that's just the start. This bike definitely has mojo. The paint ain't perfect (many chips and scratches), but there are no dents to be found, and the frame is straight as an arrow. Campy C-Record BB and Chris King mango headset are included. Please please please - do not pass this one up. There are literally no other bikes like this in existence.
You're probably eating tons of peyote right now just preparing yourself to look at all the photos - BUT WAIT, THERE'S MORE! This puppy comes with a painted to match custom stem and a custom embroidered, early years-as-fuck Serfas Ti saddle. BOOM. God bless America.
